Basil Dental Laboratory is a full-service dental lab based in Somerset, Kentucky. We serve general dentists, prosthodontists, and oral surgeons throughout the Bluegrass region with restorations that meet exacting clinical standards.

Every case that enters our facility is treated as a discrete commission. We do not batch-produce. Each crown, bridge, denture, and implant restoration is measured, sculpted, layered, and finished by hand under controlled conditions — because the difference between acceptable and exceptional is measured in fractions of a millimeter.

How We Work

From Impression to
Delivery

Case Intake

Prescribing dentist submits impressions, bite records, shade guides, and case notes. We log the case and confirm material selection and turnaround timeline.

Model Pour & Design

Working models are poured in high-strength die stone. The technician reviews the case, plans the restoration design, and prepares the die setup.

Crafting

Restoration is fabricated by hand — wax-up, investment, firing, layering, or milling depending on the material. Each step is inspected before proceeding.

Final Inspection & Ship

Every restoration is measured for marginal fit, checked for occlusal accuracy, and photographed before packaging. Cases ship in secure, temperature-controlled packaging.
